Dr. Georgia Ketchum received her undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She graduated from medical school at the very top of her class, summa cum laude, Alpha Omega Alpha, from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. She then completed four years of psychiatry residency training at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
Post-residency, Dr. Ketchum-Street made a significant impact as an inpatient adult psychiatrist in Pensacola, FL. With three years of outpatient experience in North Carolina and two years specializing in outpatient Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), she eagerly anticipates expanding her outpatient contributions. Her dedication further extends to serving as clinical faculty for two medical schools; she has been an Associate Clinical Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine since 2015, and an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2018.
Her professional awards include receiving the “Florida State University (FSU), Annual Student Choice Award” in 2018 and 2015, as well as the Faculty Medal for Highest Academic Achievement. These recognitions emphasize her passion for imparting comprehensive psychiatric training to future physicians across specialties.
